My name is Dani Kirby and I work with small businesses and non-profits who KNOW that they need to be online but don’t have the time/energy/staff to make it happen.
I help them get a handle on their data, keeping it organized so they have what they need at their fingertips, when they need it.
How did I figure it out?
I have 19 years of experience collecting data for government organizations and non-profits. Watching slow bureaucracies store and access data made me want to learn how to do things an easier way.
I watched small non-profits struggle with excel spreadsheets and emailing documents back and forth. Creating systems to handle this made it easier for boards and volunteers to focus on the work of the organization instead of the communication.
I’ve helped numerous clients turn their paper-based forms into cloud-based data collection systems, and I would love to help you!
Where am I now?
When I’m not designing surveys or creating simple systems for my clients, I can be found cross-country skiing or bicycling. I love to cook, and have a habit of developing shortcuts for myself to decrease my time in the kitchen. But that’s another story…
I live in Palatine, a suburb of Chicago. Of course, Chicago has cold winters, but it’s not much for hills and trails. So, in the winter, you will find me traveling to find snow. My favorite place to ski is Quebec City, followed by Minocqua, Wisconsin and Marquette, Michigan.
In the summer, I like to stay home but often end up traveling locally to enjoy long cycling trails and weekend getaway trips where I can hike, paddle, camp or explore quaint midwestern towns.
